About Shanhong Wang.
Shanhong Wang is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner at SouthWest Ohio Pain Institute. She graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor degree in nursing. She then pursued and completed her Master of Science degree in nursing with a subspecialty in Adult/Gerontology Primary Care. She obtained the Nurse Practitioner board certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioner and is currently licensed to practice in the State of Ohio. She joined the team of SouthWest Ohio Pain Institute in September 2018 and completed a six-month work training program in pain management. She partners closely with Dr. Munir Muhammad and Dr. Pham Philip to provide patient care.
Shanhong originally graduated from a nursing school in China and offers more than a decade of nursing experience in traditional Chinese medicine, internal medicine, and gerontology nursing. She has encountered patients with a variety of medical conditions, including chronic pain when she worked as a Registered Nurse. Shanhong also has had clinical practicum of a student nurse practitioner in the area of pre-admission testing center(pre-surgeries), oncology/hematology, gastroenterology, primary care, and telemedicine.
She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioner, American College of Physicians, and Chinese American Medical Association.
